About This Course
Comprehensive program that addresses the rescue of arborists, hunters, parachutists, and individuals not already in a harness. It explores important safety and operational aspects not found in similar classes. There is a strong emphasis on gaining access to victims and work positioning in trees as well as training on chain saw handling, knowledge of limbing and bucking techniques and safety considerations. Other modules include performing a risk assessment, anchoring and rigging physics, team logistics, patient packaging options and more. Participants must have previous rope rescue training.
