About This Course
This program is designed to provide the participant with a working knowledge of rescue considerations for motor vehicle accidents involving large vehicles such as straight trucks or tractor-trailer combinations. It includes information on operating principles, scene safety, patient access and removal, vehicle construction, and tool use for disentanglement options.
This is a “hands-on” course; participants will be working at the NFPA 1006 & 2500 "operations" and "technician" levels.
Participants MUST have experience and training in safely operating hydraulic rescue tools, reciprocating saws, air chisels, air lifting bags, as well as proper cribbing and stabilization techniques.
This is not a basic extrication program.
